Bartholin gland-excision or marsupilization

A cyst is formed when the Bartholin's gland (located slightly below and to the left of the vagina opening) is blocked. If infection sets in, an abscess forms. Bartholin’s cysts are most likely to occur in women of child-bearing age. The cyst or abscess may need to be removed or opened to allow free draining.
